Congratulations Estefanía and Ellie Jane — Now ARB Registered Architects

We’re delighted to celebrate a major milestone for two of our team members. Estefanía Macchi and Ellie Jane Walden have successfully passed their ARB Part 3 exams and are now fully registered architects.

This achievement reflects their dedication, talent, and the thoughtful rigour they bring to their work. We’re incredibly proud to support them as they reach this important point in their professional journeys, and we look forward to their continued contributions as architects at GRAS.

Estefanía studied Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires, graduating in 2014. She gained experience across competitions, design, and on-site work in Argentina before moving to Glasgow in 2017 to pursue her passion for conservation. She completed her MSc in Architectural Design for the Conservation of Built Heritage at the University of Strathclyde with distinction, receiving the Gus Astley Student Award in 2018 from the IHBC. From 2020 to 2025, she completed her UK Parts 1, 2, and 3, registering as a UK architect in March 2025. Estefanía joined GRAS in 2020 and continues to deepen her expertise in heritage conservation. She is also an active member of ICOMOS CIF.

Ellie Jane joined GRAS in 2022 as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant after completing her MArch at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture. Her thesis focused on sustainable community placemaking within the context of Scotland’s remote islands. Prior to joining GRAS, she gained valuable experience working in practices in Cambridge and Edinburgh, contributing to a diverse range of projects, from university masterplans to sensitive alterations and extensions to listed buildings.

We are delighted to continue supporting their development as part of the GRAS team.
