Care, Continuity and the Year Behind Us

25.12.2025
Christmas at Lamb's by Estefania Macchi

At the close of the year, we pause to reflect on what has shaped our work over the past months. Much of it has been about care, for buildings, materials, histories and the people who inhabit and steward them. We have been fortunate to work on projects that require patience and attentiveness, where repair, reuse and continuity matter more than speed or spectacle.

We remain committed to architecture as a conversation, rooted in place, shaped through collaboration and attuned to the life of things over time. This year has reinforced the value of working closely with clients, communities, conservators, craftspeople and collaborators who share a belief in thoughtful, grounded practice, and in architecture as a cultural act as much as a technical one.

Looking ahead, our ambitions remain clear—to work with care and curiosity, to protect and reimagine historic buildings with integrity, to support research, dialogue and making alongside practice, and to create objects and spaces that are generous, durable and quietly transformative.

With warm wishes for a restful break and a hopeful start to the year ahead—

From all of us at GRAS.
